Xanoth
I ordered some new ram that arrived this morning, my original ram is linked on my profile. When ordering another 4 gig I couldn't find the exact same product as before so I ordered "Corsair 4GB (2x2GB) DDR3 1333MHz XMS3 Memory Kit CL9 unbuffered" which is pretty close, just unbuffered rather than 9-9-9-24 like my original ram was. Now with both kits plugged in my ram is now running 8-8-8-20 and mhz is down from 600 to 533. NB Frequency was 2000MHz both before and after. FSB:DRAM = 3:8 after, not sure on before. Just wondering if I've got the wrong ram, or if I should try and push it back to 600 Mhz? as right or wrong I'm stuck with it now... :sigh!: Any help/advice appreciated. Oh also, I was happily overclocked and stable at 3.5ghz with cpu before i put my new ram in, now it just ignores my overclocked settings and runs at stock seepds. not really a ram question but any help appreciated as I'm not that versed with overclocking beyond the basics. Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted October 19, 2011 Corsair Employees Share Posted October 19, 2011 Try setting the memory Voltage to 1.7 Volts and increase the memory controller Voltage. With AMD MB's its usually called CPU/NB Voltage and increase it .2Volts over default.
