i plan to buy these :

MB: Asus M5A99X-EVO, Socket AM3+

inf0 link : http://www.asus.com/Motherboards/AMD_AM3Plus/M5A99X_EVO/

Processor : AMD Phenom II 1100T Six Core, 3300MHz, 6MB, socket AM3, Black Edition

inf0 link : http://www.amd.com/uk/products/desktop/processors/phenom-ii/Pages/phenom-ii-model-number-comparison.aspx

Memory : Dual Channel Corsair 8GB (2 x 4GB), DDR3, 2000MHz - CMX8GX3M2A2000C9

inf0 link : http://www.corsair.com/cmx8gx3m2a2000c9.html

will this work ? i know there is a post from bastic here http://forum.corsair.com/forums/showthread.php?t=99671 and don't want to have problems because i don't think i can return my product or buy another one... nu money left ... so i need to make the right choice before i spend my cash.

EDIT :

or should i go with this : Dual Channel Corsair 8GB (2 x 4GB), DDR3, 1866MHz - CMZ8GX3M2A1866C9B ?

i believe they are the second revision of this set of RAM : http://www.corsair.com/vengeance-8gb-dual-channel-ddr3-memory-kit-cmz8gx3m2a1866c9.html ( because i can't find them on the Corsair site in the product's pages ).

A picture with them : http://s1.emagst.ro/poze/231/img184254-25072011151405-0_350x350c_g77v.jpg

Thank you in advance for your interest and advice.

so , the difference between CMZ8GX3M2A1866C9B and CMZ8GX3M2A1866C9 is only the color ? , and if the Qualified Vendor List of my motherboard has CMZ8GX3M2A1866C9 , the BLUE version should be recommended too , right ?

Qualified Vendor List : http://www.asus.com/Motherboards/AMD_AM3Plus/M5A99X_EVO/#MSL

EDIT :

Processor : AMD Phenom II 1100T Six Core, 3300MHz, 6MB, socket AM3, Black Edition

inf0 link : http://www.amd.com/uk/products/deskt...omparison.aspx

instead of that i kind of want to buy this one :

AMD FX-8150 3.6GHz box | producer code : FD8150FRGUBOX

inf0 link : http://www.amd.com/uk/products/desktop/processors/amdfx/Pages/amdfx-model-number-comparison.aspx

The mother-board has this on it's Specifications page :

AMD AM3+ FX™/Phenom™ II/Athlon™ II/Sempron™ 100 Series Processors

Supports AM3+ 32 nm CPU

Supports CPU up to 8 cores

Supports CPU up to 140 W

inf0 link : http://www.asus.com/Motherboards/AMD_AM3Plus/M5A99X_EVO/#specifications , so i think the MB can support that processor but still can't decide what kind of memory to pick out.

i know i have to change the memory controller for it to run at 2000MHz. Thank you for your help.

Any other opinions or advice ?

EDIT :

- i see CMZ8GX3M2A1866C9 is not available in my country ... what about these CMX8GX3M2A2000C9 even if my Qualified Vendor List doesn't seem to specify them ?

Try this....

http://www.corsair.com/learn_n_explore/

Where it says "Search by product type" choose "motherboard" first then the vendor and lastly the MB model number.

This will list everything Corsair lists as compatible for your MB. You can try an 1866mhz or 2000mhz kit but i doubt you be able to run them much over 1600mhz with your CPU. I would suggest a 1600mhz kit .

Ahh, the new APU. Yes they do support 1866mhz nativly. I think thats only like the second one we have seen come through here.

You have a phenom listed in the original post which do only support 1333mhz memory. Which processor do you need memory for , the FX or the Phenom?

The phenom supports 1333mhz and the FX supports 1866

But your MB is still listed in the configurator, so any of those kits will be compatible but frequency's will depend on the CPU

If you do end up going with a 2000mhz kit can you post back and let us know if they will run 2000mhz. It's a small overclock i guess as far as the FX CPU is concerned, but i'm curious how well they actually do?
