ccfc1986
Hey All, This is my first post here - so please be patient with what maybe silly questions. I have the following motherboard: Gigabyte P55A-UD4P With the following memory modules: cm3x2g1600c8 (3x 2GB chips) The current speeds for the ram are listed below (got from cpuz): Frequency: 799.5mhz FSB:DRAM: 2:12 CAS# Latency (CL): 8.0 clocks RAS# to CAS# Delay (tRCD): 8.0 clocks RAS# Precharge (tRP): 8.0 clocks Cycle Time (rRAS): 24 clocks Row Refresh Cycle Time (tFRC): 88 clocks Command Rate (CR): 2T Under SPD i see the following which i would expect the following: 800mhz 8.0 8 8 24 41 2T @ 1.65v Can i get any suggestions as to why my mhz seems rather low? Surely i should see 1600 there? I have noticed my computer is a little slow, and im wondering if this is completely misconfigured. Any suggestions or comments would be highly appreciated. I just wish it was more 'plug and play' like, instead of having to edit direct via the BIOS. No issues doing that, but it is what it is (i have experience playing in BIOS, just rather leave it be whenever possible!). Cheers
Yellowbeard
Your frequency is correct. DDR3-1600 runs at 800MHz. DDR means Dual Data Rate so, in your case 800MHz = DDR1600.

So your actual frequency would be 799.5x2 or roughly 1600mhz. You should be good as long as everything is stable.
