Wondering
Built a new system using the new Corsair 400R case. The case wires that connect to the Asus system panel connector are missing the wire (4 prong) that hook up to the speaker, so one can hear BIOS beeps should trouble arrive. Now for the dumb question. Is that wire supposed to come from case, or power supply?
m_bisson
I just got a 500R and am also missing that wire. I'm guess there is just no PC speaker in these.
Ginut
This wire is supposed to come out of the case, however this is old technology and new cases don't come with the case speaker and wire. You can always buy a third party and set it up in the case if you wish. I think it made more sense to have a case speaker back in the day when HD's required jumpers and the MB had all the settings manually adjusted with jumpers...nowadays there is very few (if any) jumpers on the MB so the chances of screwing something up is quite slim... Wondering
same thing elsewhere. Just wanted to make sure. I guess the LED lights in/on some of the newer motherboards give one enough of a tip for what might be wrong. Thanks guys. It is a nice case.
