kshark
I had 4Gb in my old system 2 modules of Corsair CM2X2048-6400C5 XTREME PERFORMANCE with 5-5-5-12 latence. Now I just add another 4Gb Corsair CM2X20048-6400C5 with 5-5-5-18, and now my system boot but is extremely slower than before. Could you help me with this problem? I would like to have 8Gb. Thank you in advance. My motherboard is Gigabyte GA-P35-DQ6 and my system is Windows 7 Ultimate 64 bits
kshark
I had 4Gb in my system with 2 modules like first imagen, latence 5-5-5-12 and now I've bought another 2 like the other image, latence 5-5-5-18. When I'm trying to mix then my system goes extremely slow. Why? Could you help me? Thank you. If they are incompatible could you tell me which modules are compatible with the modules with latence 5-5-5-12 Thank you in advance, http://www.juliocorral.com/memory_images/Imagen05.jpg New Modules (5-5-5-18) v6.1 http://www.juliocorral.com/memory_images/Imagen06.jpg Actual modules (5-5-5-12) v1.
Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted October 4, 2011 Corsair Employees Share Posted October 4, 2011 Mixing memory is not suggested, but if you run them in your system you do not want to mix them up. IE one matching set in the correct slots for Dual channel and the other set in the last two slots, so check the manual for the correct slots and then go to BIOS setup and load setup defaults and set the memory Voltage to 2.0 Volts and set the memory frequency to DDR667 then test the system with http://www.memtest.org. kshark
Finally I've decided to give back the new memory modules and try to buy 4Gb (2x2Gb) memory modules like the image below. http://www.juliocorral.com/memory_images/Imagen06.jpg But I'm looking for internet and It's imposible to find another ones like these. All I've seen have Latence 5-5-5-18 (Image is similar but I don't want to do another mistake). Any one could help me to buy these memory modules? Tell me some sellers? Thank you in advance :sigh!:
Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted October 5, 2011 Corsair Employees Share Posted October 5, 2011 I am sorry but it would be best to just replace them, you will pay a premium to match these and you may still have issues getting them to work together even if you do find a matching set. Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted October 6, 2011 Corsair Employees Share Posted October 6, 2011 If you have a set that is working I would just leave it alone we do not have an 8 Gig set for this speed grade sorry!
