cksnipe
Has anyone gotten this drive to work on a Macbook pro 17" 2011 model? I bought 2 of these drives, and I've tried everything, but cannot get them to be recognized on the SATA III port. I can install OSX when connecting them via USB and boot up like that, but I can't get it to boot up or even recognize the drive when I put it in the HDD slot. I'm using the 2.2 ghz i7 MBP, 8gb Corsair RAM, 17 inch.

cksnipe
Thanks, I read that, where he concluded that it was and Apple SATA III problem. However, I have 3 other SATA III drives from different manufacturers and they all work perfectly in this same Macbook pro. I just don't understand why the Force 3 doesn't work. Therefore, I don't think this is an Apple issue. For some reason when I try to format using disk utility from the install disk, I get an I/O error. Isaac7
I gaveup and returned the drive. These drives tend to not work quite well with the newer Corsair drives. I also had a few different other drives that work flawlessly..all that's left is returning it to a vendor and getting a more suitable drive.
