New Drive 1124xxx goes all OK as boot disk in OSX 10.6.8

I write this to help someone with similar specs and needs.

 

I have a P867 Pro machine, and I have installed OSX 10.6.8 and windows 7 64Bits.

I have just received the replacement drive today, and I test first some minutes in windows 7 and all goes OK as data drive. The Atto tests are coherents with specs.

Later, I have made a Image from my old common HD OSX and toast the dmg into the SSD (Previously, I have formatted GPT).

I am now about 5 hours intensively running and the behaviour is very good.

Without any issues at moment.

I have an ASUS SATA3 cable in one of the SATA3 ports of the Intel Controller.

The other SATA3 port is filled by a Caviar Black HD.

I have not touched any of the BIOS settings.

My board is ASUS P8P67 Pro rev 3.1, and only 1 BIOS has been released.

I must say that I have a Later March Sandy Bridge Mac Book Pro 15" with the Apple SSD and the force3 outperforms by a minimum four factor.

 

I will stress all the system all the weekend and I post here some updates.

Let me know what kinda results you are getting with AJA on default settings. I think mine's underperforming based on the AJA results. Seems like the read speed is quite a bit lower than what I expected compared to ******** 3 and seems kinda inconsistent. It fluctuates between 500 and 120MB/s, averaging to around 300MB/s.

 

Averages:

383 MB/s write, 283 Mb/s read with 720x486 8-bit, 512MB

449 MB/s write, 305.5 MB/s read with 1920x1090 10-bit RGB, 512MB
