Corsair Force 3 120GB New PCB ?

I have a 120GB model supposedly affected by the recall running in a

Macbook Pro 13" late 2010 model with no issues whatsoever, even after

updating to 10.6.8 and enabling the TRIM function. Boots in 3 seconds!

My question is, have the "new" replacement drives actually been

fixed or should I wait a bit longer until the real issue is identified ?

And if it has been identified, what was the core issue in the first place?

I hear rumors that it was a missing cap on a PCB onlu on 120GB models,

as Corsair used a reference design from Sandforce, is this correct ?

You need to RMA it. They have made a change to both the hardware and the firmware. They have not stated what the change was to either one. I doubt they'll state what the changes made were due to NDAs between them and Sandforce.
