vectisitch Posted June 24, 2011 Share Posted June 24, 2011 i sent off my force 3 last wednesday and recieved my new one today so good service.thankyou corsair. i have a gigabyte ga-x58-ud3r motherboard with 2 hdds in raid 0 on the intel ports,do i plug the force 3 into the intel port or the marvell 6gb port for best performance? Yellowbeard Posted June 24, 2011 Share Posted June 24, 2011 On that motherboard, I'd suggest that you try it on both ports and compare the results. In some cases, I have the Intel ICH10-R controller perform as well or better than the Marvell controller. The only way you will know for sure is to test on your system. Yellowbeard Posted June 25, 2011 Share Posted June 25, 2011 No, you won't get full SATA3 speeds on either of these controllers, the Marvell or the Intel ICH10-R. In our testing, only the P67-B3, H67-B3, and Z68 controllers are capable of operating this drive at it's full rated specifications. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
