olejon
I was first made aware of this now (bought one this summer). My disk needs to be replaced right? Found serial number in the firmware updater: http://dl.dropbox.com/u/8593574/Corsair.png Does this defect reduce the disk's performance? (Will I get better performance with a newer one?) I have not experienced problems with my disk. Some crashes, but that's probably because I am using experimental Linux kernels sometimes.

Found serial number in the firmware updater: http://dl.dropbox.com/u/8593574/Corsair.pngPlease re-read the first post in full. The digital serial number has NOTHING to do with this issue and the digital serial number is not intended to match the serial number on the label. olejon
I'm sorry. Didn't read that. Had to call my dad at home and make him find the box it came in. My serial number starts with 1124, so that's good :) My serial number is longer than the one in the picture on the first page, but I guess that doesn't matter. Thanks! Steven_belfast
Please read the first post of this thread. If you are having any freezing or stability issues, update to the 1.3.3 firmware. Already on 1.3.3 Firmware And as i said freezes are very minor and so no issue for me, Was just checking if i needed to send it back or not, More than happy with it from what i have seen so far. markuz80
To return your Force Series 3 120GB SSD to Corsair, contact Corsair to ARRANGE YOUR REPLACEMENT . Corsair will pay for shipping your drive back to Corsair and will replace your drive free of charge. Estimated turnaround time is ten business days. ::pirate:: Hi! I have recieved an RMA and printed it. I have a couple of questions though. First of all I should mention I live in Sweden. 1. I can not go to a UPS office since the closest is located 150km from me. I called UPS and they told me I needed a number starting with "1Z" for them to come and pick it up. You write in the post that I can send it with any carrier. Great but how do I claim the cost for the freight? 2. Is it possible to pay $ (price difference from 120GB to some bigger drive) to get a bigger drive since I still am getting a new one and not the old replaced? If so how? Best regards Markus
