Fans on the H100

Recommended Posts

ok newbie question here:

The H100 fans are rated for between 1300rpm to 2500rpm. What if I replace them with an aftermarket fan that is rated for 900RPM. Will the fan be "forced" to spin at 1300rpm to 2500rpm? Also will they be loud since they arent "supposed" to spin this quickly?

Thank You

fans will spin at therated speed of the fan, what is much more important is the CFM they push to adequately remove enough watts from the rad to be efficient.

the stock fans are rated for the proper air movement to properly cool the rad, any modification may result in higher temps.

IMHO you would be better off with a fan controller on the fans and adjust the speeds as you like while keeping an eye on the CPU temps during various tasks.
