Success w/ Asus P6X58D-E and CMZ12GX3M3A1600C9 x2

Recommended Posts

Just a quick report.. I started with an Intel DX58SO2 motherboard and ONE set of CMZ12GX3M3A1600C9. Couldn't get the system to post with more than one stick in at anytime. Some sticks didn't even post at 1600. I was worried it was a memory problem, but RMA'd the board and got an ASUS P6X58D-E. Once I got the new MB, popped the 1st set CMZ12GX3M3A1600C9 in and boom.. booted first time w/ xmp profile. Today I got a second set of CMZ12GX3M3A1600C9 and installed them. System booted right up at 1600mhz w/ 24gb.. so I was very lucky and much much thanks for the great memory Corsair.. (and PSU.)

I was searching for information like this during my build so I wanted to post it up.. and many thanks for the informative posts from RAM GUY and community members. :D Very happy After Effects workstation!!
