iRaiden
I was gaming earlier today when my system froze and blue screened. When booting back up, my SSD was not being recognized as the default drive. I went into BIOS and saw that the drive was not being recognized whatsoever. I restarted and checked again to no avail. I changed the drive to a regular bay instead of the hot swap bay. I tried different SATA data and SATA power cables that worked fine on my other drives. Nothing worked. I booted up to Windows 7 using my WD Hard Drive and my SSD was not being recognized in Device manager. I can occasionally have BIOS recognize my SSD when it is in SATA port 6, but am still unable to boot. When I try to boot from it, it says the drive is missing, giving an error ex000000e. I put in a W7 CD and my SSD is not an option to reformat/repair. I put the drive in my laptop, where it is still not recognized. Tomorrow I will put the drive in a different PC to see if it recognizes it. It has become quite frustrating and I feel that my SSD has died on me. I purchased this SSD about 3 months ago as a refurbished drive from Micro Center. I already filled out an RMA request, which I doubt will work as the drive is a refurb. Anyone have suggestions? Thanks in advance, iRaiden Edit: Drive can't be recognized at all now. Tried in my laptop. Nothing. Tried in another desktop. Nothing..
Corsair Employee RAM GUY Posted May 31, 2011 Corsair Employee Share Posted May 31, 2011 I would try to get the drive detected ad boot with Parted Magic and see if you can secure erase the drive, that may ring the drive back.
iRaiden
I can't get the drive to be recognized in any machine now. I've tried all my sata ports, my laptop in both slots, and several different slots on a secondary desktop. Nothing. Any more recommendations?
