Mechan
Dear Corsair, I recently purchased (via newegg) a AX850 power supply with the intent of having it power an ASUS Rampage III Formula MB. The problem is that I can't seem to get the EPS12V power to work. I've tried both the cables (alternatively on the 8 and 12-pin connectors on the PSU). In both cases, I've tried connecting all 8pins on the MB, and only 4 on the "right" side. In all cases, MB leds come on upon turning PSU switch on, but the system fan spins on for a second or so upon powering on the MB, then all goes quiet without even a beep. I wondered if it was the MB or the PSU, so I tried switching out the PSU. Connecting an HX620W resulted in the system working perfectly fine. Am I doing something wrong, or is my AX850 DOA :-( ? Mechan
PS I tried using the AX850 to power my old Asus MB, no go. Same issue, fan will spin for a second but system will not turn on, not even a single beep (and yes, I've made sure 3 times to connect the EPS12V cable in addition to the ATX power cable). Can I please get an RMA number? Best, Filippo Scognamiglio
Wired
No one on here can give you an RMA number. There is a form for that on the left.
Mechan
Oki dokey. The original question was whether I was doing anything wrong. The RMA number request was more out of frustration than anything else. I'll handle that with newegg. Ciao, F
