Rhiven Posted January 4, 2011 Share Posted January 4, 2011 I recently built a computer with a HX850 and from the moment I started it up for the first time the PSU has been making a whining/grinding (more whining than grinding though) noise from the moment I press the power button (even in the BIOS.) I do not have another computer that I can try the PSU in and since I use my computer for school and my old laptop no longer works I can't really go without it for any length of time. Should I just RMA it? And if so is it possible to get an advance RMA and just send the old PSU back in the new box? Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Do I need to wait for the actual RMA confirmation (the one that they say will take 24-48 hours to arrive) to call customer support to set up an advanced RMA or do I just need the case #?
