Yuriy.Samorodov
Recently I've purchased Corsair AX750 PSU. I use it with a pretty old system: ASUS A7N8X (20-pin power clip)/AMD Athlon XP 1700+(not overclocked)/2x512Mb RAM/2xIDE HDD/ATi Radeon 9800 Pro 128 Mb (refer to my User Profile for more clear info). According to AX750 specs I have expected PSU fan not even to spin. But its starts at ~200RPM after 5-10 minutes of working and never stops until PC shutdown. So, my questions are: Does my rig is compatible with AX750? Is there any problems, of which I should be aware about? Why does PSU start up on this configuration? PSU always stays cold. Anyway, this is great PSU. Thanks for such a brilliant! Best regards, Yuriy Samorodov P.S. Sorry for my bad English P.P.S. Merry Holidays and a Happy New Year to you all! Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted January 3, 2011 Corsair Employees Share Posted January 3, 2011 The PSU is backwards compatible to ATX 2.01 or newer specifications, that board may actually be built for an ATX 1.3 spec, but you may be able to double check in the motherboard manual under the "Specifications Summary." If possible you may want to test the PSU in a newer system to see if you get the same issues. Also, make sure that you have the latest BIOS available for the board.
