which memory for Asus P6X58D-E

Since I do have that motherboard and CPU, and if I had no other stated requirement from my memory but to overclock, I guess I'd just buy the most expensive that I could afford.

 

But what I actually did was buy 3X2GB modules of DDR3 1600C7, because 6GB met my needs, and 1600C7 was fast enough for me, and represented what I thought was a good value. Wasn't Corsair, but no specific reason for that.

 

Some people report problems with running very fast memory in 12GB quantity with these boards, especially overclocked.
