dohhboy
My new Asus motherboard M4A89GTD PRO/USB3 list Corsair 2X2Gig TW3X4G1333C9DHX as being compatible at 1.7 Volts. I purchased 2X2Gig kit of TW3X4G1333C9A, running at 1.5 Volts. Is the modules I purchased the same as the DHX ones. (Compatibility wise) Or should I exchange them? I am getting BSODs, with messages about unable to access certain memory. (Sorry, I built the computer for my brother and I don't have access to it right now, to get details.) Wired
Compatibility wise, it's never recommended to mix modules even if they have the exact same part number because they haven't been tested together and they could be using different ICs. dohhboy
No no no. They are not mixed. TW3X4G1333C9DHX 2x2GB(Kit) is listed as compatible with the ASUS M4A89GTD PRO/USB3 on the QVL list. I installed TW3X4G1333C9A 2x2GB (Kit) on the ASUS M4A89GTD PRO/USB3 motherboard, after I misread the list. So I was wondering, if the 9DHX, is compatible with the motherboard, would the 9A be as well? Or just because the numbers are close, it doesn't mean these modules are anywhere close to being the same.(compatible with the motherboard)
