nabihtrap
Hi everyone, first post here. I'm just in the process of building my system right now, and I'm already running into some troubles. The first of which is that I'm not even seeing the motherboard LEDs come on. This is my first time building, and I'm not sure whether it's a motherboard or a PSU issue. I'd like to mention though I'm testing for power (I'm not turning the system on) without the GTX580 (which should be arriving tomorrow), the dvd burner, and CPU cooler (Corsair H70) in place. Basically I have the motherboard, the i7, sound card, memory, and psu in place and hooked up, but I'd assume right now if I turned on the PSU power switch I'd at-least see the motherboard LEDs light up. Should this be the case, or not? I made sure the connectors are all in the right place (24pin for board and 8 pin for CPU), but if there is anything I should look out for that would be great. Thanks again!
Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted December 27, 2010 Corsair Employees Share Posted December 27, 2010 When the PSU is plugged into the motherboard and the switch on the back is pressed down on the "1" side, then you will usually get some motherboard standby lights that come on, but every board may be a little different. If you get the graphics cards and the system does not boot up, then let us know!
