Corsair Employee RAM GUY Posted December 21, 2010 Corsair Employee Share Posted December 21, 2010 If the other PSU is working without any issues, then lets get the VX550 replaced. Request an RMA
Hades.
If the other PSU is working without any issues, then lets get the VX550 replaced. Request an RMA This is the second vx550 which is causing the problem... i've already RMA'ed one vx550... with my old gigabyte PSU my computer works fine... i tried every thing to troubleshoot this problem... tried breadboxing the pc to check whether there's any short circuit issue... fresh installed the os several times... did memtest86+ to test the ram... :(
Maltitol
Luck of the draw I'm afraid. Sounds like you need an RMA
Corsair Employee RAM GUY Posted December 27, 2010 Corsair Employee Share Posted December 27, 2010 We can definitely try another replacement, but if you have had the same issues where the PSU works on one system and not another, then there has to be something up with that system. Its possible that the VX550 may be more sensitive to detecting shorts than some other PSUs, which could explain why some other PSUs might work with the system.
