Quick question: I have the CMT8GX3M2A2000C9 kit. I was considering buying the Airflow Pro. Not sure if it is compatible.

From my research, the memory is (as it states products starting with CMP & CMT are), but I cannot find any mention if the kit fans on this product are compatible

Not sure if it is relavent, but I am also getting Corsair's Link whenever it comes out.

I am wondering if this is compatible with the new kids on the block, namely the CMD16GX3M4A2400C9 16gb kits. The part number doesn't start with CMT or CMP like the product support says but I believe these RAM kits are newer than the article and may not have been around when the article was written. Anyone know for sure if they will work for this new ram?

Yes, you need the Airflow 2 fans to mount the Airflow Pro.

The mother board I am using only has 4 pin fan connectors. It would seem logical that I could replace the 60mm-3 pin fans with 60mm-4 pin ones and walah! I would be in business, so to speak. Is my logic sound? If I am in "business" any fan suggestions?

You will need an extra Cable which connects the Airflow Pro -> The Commander.

You can get the Corsair Link Accessory Cable Kit which includes this Cable.. Its the same as the ones which come with the Cooling/Lighting Node -> Commander.

Most 4 Pin Fan headers on motherboards will handle 3 Pin Fans Fine.

With 3 Pin headers fans are controller via voltage over 2 of the wires and the 3rd one reports the RPM.. 4 Pin headers are controlled via a PWM Signal over the 4th Wire (Or something like that :-) )

I thought the Airflow Pro includes everything you need including the two little fans that sit on top of the memory?

Is the temperature of the memory also monitored by the Corsair Link software or just the LEDs in this Airflow Pro?

You get via Corsair link the Average RAM temperature.

The Airflow Pro (The Lights) goes on top of the Airflow 2 (The FANS)

The only connector from the Airflow 2 (FANS) is a 3 Wire Fan cable which you can plug into your motherboard to run the FANS.

From the the Airflow Pro there is a Power Cable, wires which go to the RAM and a Wire which goes to the Corsair Commander.

I have attached a couple of Pictures.

the 2nd Picture..

Left = Cable to Airflow 2 (FANS)

Middle Short = Cables to RAM ( Up to 6 of them, but I had 4 connected)

Middle Long = Cable to Corsair Link Commander

Right = Power to Airflow Pro

So if you want to have it all going you need

Airflow 2

Airflow Pro

Corsair Link Accessory Kit (For the Cable between Airflow Pro -> Corsair Commander)

Ram which Has the Corsair Link interface on it (which includes the Dominator Platinum RAM)

Could anyone tell me the length of the cables? I am starting a new build with a ASUS Ramage IV Black Edition and will have memory on either side of the CPU. I want to use 2 CMXAF2s and 1 CMXAFPRO in a water cooled setup. If the cables are long enough I'll get the CMXAFPRO. Does the accessory cable kit include a longer connector for the CMXAFPRO?

Also, I read in an earlier post about there being issues with X79 chipset, has that been resolved? Thanks.
