Quanta
Hi, I want to upgrade my existing 2gb Corsair(TWIN2X2048-6400C5DHX) RAM to 4GB, but due to some reasons I am unable to buy same 2GB XM2 DHX KIT. My question is, can I mix DHX with 2 Value Select (VS1GB800D2) modules in following configuration. Bank 1 Slot 1 -> XMS2 DHX Slot 2 -> VS1GB800D2 Bank 2 Slot 1 -> XMS2 DHX Slot 2 -> VS1GB800D2 Thanks
Wired
No. It's never recommended to mix kits even if they're the same part number and version.
Quanta
No. It's never recommended to mix kits even if they're the same part number and version. But both have same Latency's and voltage's.
Wired
That's not all there is to compatibility. Voltage, ICs, ICs tested together, sticks tested together, etc.
