tdizzle26
I am having problem with the front audio port giving off a sound similar to static. It pops in and out frequently when doing nothing and is constant when I move my mouse. The HD Audio connector is connected to the front audio pins on a GA-X58A-UD3R (rev. 2.0) motherboard. All the audio drivers have been installed. Anyone have a similar issue or have any idea how to get rid of it?
andyvee
Yeah this is a common problem on the 800d as well , lots of threads on here if you go through the history but to save you some time its not been resolved yet , no point in ordering a new panel as it will do the same thing , there was mention of an updated version coming but that was a LONG time ago and appears to be vaporware like the SATA 3 backplates for the 800d that were also coming . The way i got round it was to get a set of speakers which have mic and headphone sockets on them and plug into the rear ports so i just plug my headset to them when needed . Wired
Andy, it's hardly a common issue. I haven't seen anyone mention it here in months, and they couldn't duplicate the issue you were having. tdizzle, RMA the front panel using the link on the left. If it's constant when you move your mouse though, and it's a wired mouse, I'm wondering if it's a static / grounding issue.
andyvee
its mentioned regular enough in here but no follow ups , i'm not going to go back much on this as the threads can be searched for but suffice to say:- a - that as part of my " testing " i rebuilt my rig into a cm sniper black case and had no issues but have noise in the 800d only change was the case . b - not one person has come back with static noise issues and said replacing the panel fixed the fault so pointless but go for it , i'd wager heavily it won't resolve it . c - There were posts on here a while back from Corsair stating that a redesigned panel was in the works ( i also have emails at home from Tech-Sup stating the same when they sent me ( in the end 2) new boards to try but as before they are still vapor atm . As earlier i'm fairly happy with the case i have now i have speakers with their own mic/headphone sockets plugged in the rear but to say there is no problem is a bit much when no-one on here in the time its been out had a confirmed fix , there probably same as me and fed up chasing non-existant upgrades and just found there own workaround as i have . To the OP , below is a link to a cheap set of speakers that have the mic/headphone socket on , plug these in the rear and have the pod up near your monitor or kb and then your good to go . http://www.logitech.com/en-gb/for-business/products/speakers-headsets/devices/
tdizzle26
It is a wired mouse. How would I go about fixing a static/grounding issue? Andy, it's hardly a common issue. Wired
Try a different USB port and/or a differnet mouse.
