m.lana
(if this matter has already a thread, sorry for this post and thank you if can redirect me). i moved the windows 7 partition and transferred my data and programs from a seagate HD to the corsair F120 ssd. i'm very pleased with the performance. only, a problem surfaced, after the transfer, which has to do with permissions: sometimes i get error messages from appications, stating that a file can't be opened or saved (the file is there, the folder as well, usually if i displace them into another folder the problem is gone). it seems that the ownership and permission on the HD are 'not right', don't know how to say it another way. anyone else did encounter a similar problem? does anyone know of a way to globally reset the permissions and ownership for folders and files throughout the entire disk (SSD or HD shouldn't be important). thank you fot your help! maurizio
Wired
does anyone know of a way to globally reset the permissions and ownership for folders and files throughout the entire disk (SSD or HD shouldn't be important)Change the permissions at the storage level. Right click the SSD in my computer, go to properties change them there.
