Firmware for the R60?

No, I am not having any current issues. I am prepping to install an R60 in a new build right now. One of the things that CPU Magazine recommends when installing a new SSD is to flash the drive to the latest version of firmware. That is what I am trying to determine, if new firmware is available.

Thanks for the quick and timely response. I do have a couple of followup questions.

Will the Reactor series ever have a firmware update?

I was planning on following the installation instructions provided by the October 2010 issue of CPU Magazine, pages 31-33

This is my first SSD install. Are these instructions ok, or do you have other suggestions?

Thanks again.

I am sorry but I am not allowed to comment on anything not published by corsair.

I would suggest contacting that magazine for more information if you still have questions.

And I see nothing in that article about our drives or specifically our Reactor series drives.

Any firmware updates for the R60? It is now December, and as far as I can tell you last answered this question in September. Should I expect no updates? Thanks.

I would not obsess over this issue as the Reactor drive is very stable, and supports TRIM natively with firmware version 1.0. There are no firmware-related problems.

Most of the time SSDs have updated firmware to add TRIM support, but like I mentioned with the Reactor drive this is not necessary.
