NathanS
Hello, I have this memory CMX6GX3M3C1600C7(6GB DDR3 1600 PC3-12800) that are being read as PC3-10600 (instead of the spec PC3-12800) by Memtest 86 v4.10, is this normal and why? Motherboard is GA-X58A-UD5 version 2.0 Intel i7 980x 3.33GHZ Thanks, Nathan
Wired
It's getting that from the SPD, that's normal. Look at the ACTUAL speed. CPU-Z (under the memory tab) is a great free tool to look at it. Link for it is on the left.
