Would it be possible?

It would take some pretty creative machining but I suppose it could be done. The problem is that the 4 mounting points for the head and pump are the places where you have to put the pressure on the unit to mate it to the CPU heat spreader. Those 4 points are also the only places to extend some sort of hardware upwards to mount the fan and radiator. But, when you do all that, you make it a pain to actually mount the unit so my guess is that unless you have a very specific reason for doing it, this would be way more trouble and expense than it is worth.

But hey if I could manage to do it that would be one of the best mods around

Because you want to mount the radiator to the pump. That means it's acting just like a standard air cooler. You'd need other fans to pull the hot air from around the radiator outside of the case.
Well out else would I get air to blow into the rad if I didn't have fans?

And plus in a well ventilated case the air blowing back in is irrelevant

And since the CPU sits so close to the back of any case of course you would blow air out the back just like you would with an air cooler

Nevermind

You guys don't get it

Seem to be lacking imagination

No, I fully understand what you're trying to do, and I also understand that you'd need case fans just like you would need with a standard air cooler to pull the heat from the location of the radiator / heatsink and get it out of the case... but you didn't say that.

The question is: Why do you think mounting the radiator on the pump would be better than a standard air cooler (and/or possibly better than the config in which the H70 was designed for)? Where do you see the advantages of this theory?
