omgdec
Hey guys Im putting together a system with an Asus P7P55D-E Pro (http://www.scan.co.uk/products/asus-p7p55d-e-pro-p55-express-s1156-pci-e-20-ddr3-2200%28oc%29-usb-30-sata-6gb-s-sata-raid-atx) and an Intel i5 760 (http://www.scan.co.uk/products/intel-i5-760-s1156-lynnfield-quad-core-28-ghz-8mb-cache-core-ratio-21x-95w-retail). The RAM I somewhat hurriedly purchased is 4Gbs of Corsair Dominator (http://www.scan.co.uk/products/4gb-%282x2gb%29-corsair-dominator-ddr3-pc3-12800-%281600%29-non-ecc-unbuffered-cas-9-9-9-24-dhx-18v%28amd%29). Now upon revision of my purchase I spot a little (amd) tag in the URL box and immediately begin to worry. So I do some homework and on the Scan site it says its intended for AMD Phenom systems however, after searching these forums with the manufacturer code (CMD4GX3M2A1600C9). Im seeing lots of posts saying its 'approved compatible' for i5/i7 builds etc and I'm really confused. Has Scan just listed this RAM incorrectly? Please, please, please can somebody help me! Plus, if I have got it wrong recommend me some similar spec compatible RAM, thanks!
trackrat
The CMD4GX3M2A1600C9 is Intel i5/i7 compatible so you should be fine. It may also be AMD approved? http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820145323
