F60 Unallocated Partition

Are you talking about the 100 MB system managed partition actually? It is required for Windows 7 and it will always be there, if you can't see it then it's just hidden, but it's always there.

Don't let it bother you.

Hi. It's 1 MB unallocated at the beginning and a lesser amount at the end. After secure erasing I used DISKPART to avoid the 100 MB partition. But I still get unallocated space as mentioned above. I think it could be due to alignment or something.

I have never seen that but I would check the alignment of your drive. If you already secure erased then it should be okay.

However if you used DISKPART instead of letting the Windows 7 Installation align the drive for you, it may be mis-aligned now.
