blackops
How do you get rid of the small 1mb unallocated partition (or prevent it from being created) at the beginning of the F60 after installing Windows 7?
Synbios
Are you talking about the 100 MB system managed partition actually? It is required for Windows 7 and it will always be there, if you can't see it then it's just hidden, but it's always there. Don't let it bother you. It's 1 MB unallocated at the beginning and a lesser amount at the end. After secure erasing I used DISKPART to avoid the 100 MB partition. But I still get unallocated space as mentioned above. I think it could be due to alignment or something.
Synbios
I have never seen that but I would check the alignment of your drive. If you already secure erased then it should be okay. However if you used DISKPART instead of letting the Windows 7 Installation align the drive for you, it may be mis-aligned now.
