kpdillon
I just got a new Corsair F-160. I have a Lenovo x200. Ocasionally I get BSOD when wake from Sleep. I upgraded it to firmware 2.1. I am currently running Intel Driver - 10.0.0.1046 WHQL Should I run this instead? Intel RST 9.6.0.1014 Will this make a difference in the ocasional BSOD issue? Will it make a difference in performance? Thanks, Kevin
Wired
??? There is no firmware 2.1 for the F series.
kpdillon
Sorry, that is a typo. Running firmware 2.0. Question still remains.
Yellowbeard
You can try it. No harm in doing so.
scorpionri
Some users reported that 10.0.0.1046 actually solved BSODs and I haven't seen anyone report that 10.0.0.1046 caused BSODs and 9.6 didn't, but you can give it a try anyways.
kpdillon
Tried both. I am still getting random reboots when wake from sleep on my Lenovo X200.
Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted December 8, 2010 Corsair Employees Share Posted December 8, 2010 On that system I would suggest you disable suspend to RAM and Hybrid suspend and just use suspend to disk instead.
kpdillon
On that system I would suggest you disable suspend to RAM and Hybrid suspend and just use suspend to disk instead. Thanks, I'll give it a try - can you clarify what it means to do this and where I can go look for this to give it a try? You are not suggesting that I stop using sleep and use hibernate, are you? If so, then it really takes one of the nice benefits of having an SSD.
Toughbook
Or you could just return it, and get something different. I know that's not what you wanna hear, but heck if my drive was bad out of the gate I would try another brand while I still had the option. Good luck! kpdillon
Yep, thanks - that seems to be where I am headed as it seems Corsair isn't able to commit to any time frame regarding a fix for this issue.
Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted December 14, 2010 Corsair Employees Share Posted December 14, 2010 The issue seems to be the BIOS with some OEM systems but we are looking in to these reports.
