babbar
won't work for me i load option #1 and i get this error, "PMAGIC-5.7.SQFS cannot be found" i know it has something to do with the file name under ...PMAGIC\PMODULES it looks for PMAGIC-5.7.SQFS but in the directory it's PMAGIC_5.7.SQFS i extracted the .iso, renamed the file and burned the folders to a cd, but it won't boot. is there a way to get around this without using a usb key. Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted December 6, 2010 Corsair Employees Share Posted December 6, 2010 You will need to use the Burn image command from the CD-R software or just use Alcohol 120 to burn the image

Synbios
yeah i know how to burn it to a cd, it's not booting though getting an error message No you don't and RAM GUY told you what you need to do. You need to burn the CD image (.iso), you can use ImgBurn to do this. You are not supposed to extract .iso's and copy the folders over, it doesn't work that way. Also check out this thread, you could setup a USB drive as well: http://forum.corsair.com/v3/showthread.php?t=85816

Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted December 9, 2010 Corsair Employees Share Posted December 9, 2010 What connector do you have your CD Rom connected to? I had the same eror when I had my CD-ROM/DVD-ROM connected to the E-SATA Port. I had to move to another controller. You might try the CD on another system and see if it boots normally. Synbios
I would check with the Parted Magic support/forums, also you do not need to plug an optical drive to a SATA3 port. If you want it to just work, I recommend just using a USB drive I think it's a lot easier at this point.

uscool
Think your right, i put it back in the Asus board, it booted fine, in bios as sata, ahci, was in frozen state so did the boot parted, remove power , data from ssd reconnect retry and it worked, but now after installing windows, im getting reduced speed, windows usually gives it a 7.3 score, now its gone to 7.1 and also ran HD tune its gone slower, i think this is because i installed the new AMD southbridge driver, well im gonna order a ASUS M4A89GTD PRO/USB3 will secure erase it again, and see how it goes .
