Skalm
Hello, I just recently purchased an EVGA Classified3 (141-GT-E770-A1) Motherboard. I was reading the Manual for this Motherboard, and have read that it has two 8-pin ATX 12V Power Connectors on the Board. It says that it will run with just one connected, but that it is recommended to use both when OverClocking. It also says that, "Before you plug in these two power connections, please make sure your power supply supports two 8-pin ATX 12V differential output". I have the Corsair HX1000 Power Supply. Does this power supply support this? I have tried finding information on the corsair website and have been unable to find any information. I have also emailed Corsair (11/29) through the Contact Page, but they have not responded.
Yellowbeard
Click the RESOURCES tab. Also, you only need the 2nd EPS12v connector on that board when you are doing EXTREME OCing such as with phase cooling, LN2, DICE etc on the CPU and running very high voltages. Skalm
Aaaah ok. So if it has two 12v 8-pins then it does have that. I didn't know if it supported that by just having the connectors. I thought it meant it had to have some other hardware feature built into the PSU. Also, I didn't know the two connectors was just for Extreme OC, and I don't plan on doing that so I guess that answers the question of whether it supports it, and whether I actually need to use both (which I don't xD). Thank you for your quick response and help with this :)
