ClickClack
I just need to know what the difference between TR3X6G1600C8D and TR3X6G1600C8D G is. I've seen these RAM sticks listed for sale with and without the "G" on the end (for example, newegg.com doesn't have the G whereas fry's does have the G on the end, so does microcenter). Is there a difference? I want to ensure compatibility, because I see TR3X6G1600C8D listed as compatible on my motherboard but not with the "G" on the end. But the model with "G" on the end is what's listed at the local store I want to buy them at. I just got a new motherboard and processor and am going to hook it all up tonight once I get the memory. Motherboard is Asus P6X58D-E and core i7-950 for what it's worth. Quick responses would be much appreciated as I am going this afternoon to get the necessary memory! Thank you. trackrat
I don't know what the significance is of the "G" but all "TRX3X6G" RAM kits are designed for the triple channel Intel i7-9xx series mobos.
Christer
According to Wired in this thread, G = RoHS compliant and not part of the part number.
ClickClack
Ah, so they are all exactly the same I would have to assume? Just some sites are putting that G on there to specify RoHS compliant where others aren't "advertising" that. Thanks for finding that. It's a big help and much appreciated. I'm kinda OCD (ok majorly OCD) and so that gives me peace of mind haha.

Wired
Correctamundo. Some sites list it anymore because most memory is now RoHS compliant nowadays (I think).
