600T - Side Fan

I've been an avid TTake case user for the past decade. Nearly all of my air-cooled systems are TTake cases. Many of their cases do have design issues, but one thing TTake has got right, and this is coming from using over 15 of their cases in high-powered computers, is cooling the case with efficient airflow. This typically comes from a top fan, 1 if not 2 rear fans, a front fan, at times bottom fans and, most importantly as of recent, SIDE FANS.

Side fans have proven themselves again and again to decrease my VGA temps SIGNIFICANTLY (~3-15C).

I recently decided to switch from a TTake to the Corsair 600T case, cited as one made for air cooling. I will not get into details but the case is excellent to work with, YET it lacks a side fan. This lack of fan has directly corresponded to my VGA card having an increase of 8C on average.

Corsair, I implore you, release a case side for the 600T that includes a nice fan (240mm seems to be the sweet spot for noise vs. performance). If the 600T receives a side fan, it will easily replace all of my TTake mid-tower builds.

An otherwise VERY satisfied Corsair customer,

I went ahead and modded the side of the case to fit a 200mm fan in it (Cooler Master R4-LUS-07AB-GP, http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B002FRLEIS/ref=oss_product), placing it next to the PCI-E slots AND next to the PSU, so slightly towards the bottom. I had no issues with clearance.

I kid you not, my GPU went from a stable 50C to now a perfectly stable 30C. I am not exaggerating these numbers; with an appropriate side fan, you can receive EXCELLENT cooling performance at an incredibly low decibel level.

Corsair, I extremely recommend you consider a case side replacement with a side fan. The fan I used produces 110CFM and runs at about 19db.

If anyone else has success stories about modding the 600T with a side fan I'd like to hear about it.

I modded my 600T some weeks ago and fitted a 250mm sidefan. The fan itself came in a kit and included the mesh, screws and all the bits and bobs. I did find it a little loud on the full 12v, although it's mainly air and very little motor noise. Ran it off the Corsair fan controller for about a week and the fan definitely doesn't like less then 12v. Seems to make weird noises. So today I hooked up a 12v military style switch with a white led :). Now I just flick the switch when gaming and fan comes on, and turn off when not gaming. Makes massive difference to temps when on. And keeps my 3 way GTX 580 setup nice and cool. Idling in mid to high 30C, and never goes over 65C when gaming. Running each of the core at 850mhz which isn't a bad overclock for 3 way.

3 x 3008WFP @ 7680 x 1600, though alot of games I run at 2560 x 1600 which allows me to use up to 32XAA. Managed to buy two secondhand damaged 3008's last month at a good price and get them repaired to go along with the new one I got about 4 months ago.

That looks extremely pro man. I personaly think the CM Megaflow would be overall better.... 110cfm at 700rpm thats damn quite for alot of freakin air.

Also i wonder if you can get a nice mesh for the side just like what you have for your 250.

It really is sad though that Corsair only introduced a side window for the 600t... no side panel fan.
