m.lana
i have a dell studio 1557 notebook, windows 7 64 bit, cpu intel core i7, 8gb ram. the firmware of F120 is updated to v. 2 the driver is msahci (no intel iastor) TRIM is enabled, alignment is ok (offset/4094=integer) search indexing, hybernation, page file: disabled if i run crystal disk mark i get those results: Sequential Read : 205.805 MB/s Sequential Write : 80.635 MB/s Random Read 512KB : 193.828 MB/s Random Write 512KB : 82.389 MB/s Random Read 4KB (QD=1) : 15.601 MB/s [ 3808.9 IOPS] Random Write 4KB (QD=1) : 28.124 MB/s [ 6866.3 IOPS] Random Read 4KB (QD=32) : 160.631 MB/s [ 39216.5 IOPS] Random Write 4KB (QD=32) : 85.724 MB/s [ 20928.8 IOPS] Test : 50 MB [C: 78.8% (88.1/111.8 GB)] (x1) Date : 2010/11/26 16:53:38 OS : Windows 7 [6.1 Build 7600] (x64) two things strike me: in general the read performance is not so good; the write performance is poor; and particularly random read/write 4k is very very poor 15MB in read and 28MB in write? :(::confused: i think nevertheless that this was a wonderful buy; but the more so, i would like to have disclose its full potential! anyone could help me? with thanks maurizio

m.lana
i did the test wit atto: everything is right. the speeds are between 265 and 275 MB per second, very close to the maximun advertised, even if the SSD is the system drive, full over 75%. very very satisfactory! and a big thanks for the suggestion to use ATTO! maurizio
