nodiaque
Hello everyone, I saw that I ordered a psu that have only 1 EPS 12v connector. My evga x58 3x sli classified has room for 2 for OC, though it's not required. I've read on another post that using a PCI-E connector is not recommended and could damaged multiple computer parts as well as the psu itself, and voiding waranty. I saw on another web site a 2 molex to 1 eps 12v. Is that a good thing or should I simply upgrade to an hx1000w? Thanks
Corsair Employee RAM GUY Posted November 22, 2010 Corsair Employee Share Posted November 22, 2010 While I would suspect that the adapter cable should be fine, we have not tested this type of configuration so we could not make any guarantees. Unless you are heavily overclocking the CPU, you should be fine with a single EPS 12v so going to the HX1000 may not be necessary.

And by heavily OCing, we mean 5GHz+ using liquid nitrogen or other sub zero CPU cooling and MASSIVE voltages to your CPU.
