Ultimatium
Does anyone know if it is possible to buy a sidepanel window for 800D that covers the bottom area where the PSU/cables are located? Does Corsair sell any solutions to this? Though I have a clean cable management, don't want half of the psu/the psu cables to be visible.
Yellowbeard
I don't know of a panel like you want that already has a window. However, you could order a solid side panel from the online store and put any size or shape window in it that you want to.

slotrod
Take a piece of aluminum and make a panel to cover the bottom section behind the window. Maybe a pc of Modders mesh also.

slotrod
Professional He is !!!! He uses a Dremel and cutting wheel to start the cut and then a Jig Saw to finish. I am not so hot with the jig saw because of bad eyes so I cut it all with dremel. takes longer but I have more control. If you take your time you can do it. If you go to Bills web site he has video's on how to do these things yourself. He also sells the soft rubber U channel to put around the cut out. If you stop by my Project Carbon Build in the build section you will see some of Bills work. I will be receiving my window frame I had him make tomorrow and will post pics when i have it installed. I purchased a blank panel Like Yellowbeard mentioned

x509
$300 for shipping the sidepanel! no way. I'm not surprised. Think of the time it would take to do your custom side panel. This guy is quite skilled, and he also needs to make a buck, just like the rest of us.
Ultimatium
Why did Corsair make the 800D sidepanel this way? What went wrong in the production?

slotrod
Now try doing the window on your own. take your time and think about what your doing. Remember if some one does this for you they always risk error which up's their cost.
Ultimatium
How in the world is an aesthetic preference a production issue? Who prefers to look at all the cables at the bottom of the chassis? I don't get your idea. What's interesting to look at for me is the mobo, ram, gfx, etc. Not half of the PSU and It's cables. FlawlessSoul
Some people use the bottom area for watercooling purposes, for a pump or radiator. Many use modular PSUs and the ability to hide cables behind the motherboard plate. Understand that you were not the only person the case was designed for. And some of us don't care about how the inside of the case looks, as long as it's all put together well, the w/c doesn't leak, etc. And we don't need/want a window at all.:D:

I don't use modular PSU's, in fact i use a 5 year old non-modular PSU, and i don't have watercooling either, i use three old and rusty fans mounted at the top. So i guess that this case wasn't designed for me. Damn, i made a major mistake buying it then.
