bobmitch
I have been using the PSU and a video card that required two six pin connectors. The default was two 6 + 2 Pin. So basically, I moved two pins out of the way and used as two six pin. New video card coming Tues requires an eight pin and a six pin. I just noticed that I cannot re-attach the two extra pins, permanently. Can I still use as an eight pin connector? I cannot find a latch that would reconnect the two pins left over...but I think that it won't be an issue to put the two extra pins in the vid card as required. I just wonder if they will stay in permanently Any input is appreciated Thanks Bob
PricklyPete
Sound be just fine. Having the 6-pin secured will hold the other two in place.
Yellowbeard
The 2 pin portion has 2 flanges that fit under the 6 pin portion. The 6 pin holds the 2 pin in place.
bobmitch
I thought it was something like the motherboard 20 + 4 connector...but I couldn't get the 2 pin to attach back onto the 6 pin. As long as I can use all eight and they won't fall out...I will be happy...
