barry2811
Hi, I have an old GA-MA69GM-S2H board with the AMD SB600 chipset. I'm looking at getting the above SSD and I'm wondering what issues the old southbridge might case? As far as I can tell I should enable AHCI in the BIOS and use the Microsoft AHCI driver rather than the AMD one. Is this a recommended setup? Will I experience any performance issues? Will TRIM work as expected? Will I have any issues with the firmware update and drive recognition? Thanks for any advice.
Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted November 17, 2010 Corsair Employees Share Posted November 17, 2010 You should not have any problems but with the older SB you may not get the full performance of the drive. You would just have to install it and test with ATTO. Thankyou for your response. It was a toss-up between this SSD and a competitors. Since I didn't get a response at their forum I have now made up my mind to buy the Corsair one. :)
