cravinmild
Seeings how theres a "show your H50 rig" thread (started by GAMERIG), I would like to start a "Show your H70 Rig" thread for all the people who have H70s'. In order to keep the clutter down please only post pics of your H70 rigs. Ill go first: This started as a small upgrade for a refurbished Office Depot HP Pavilion AMD 64 4200+ I had for the last three years, things got ugly, money wise and this is what I had after the smoke cleared. One pic is my old case by my new case, the rest are just how i mounted it. I was lucky and did not need to fasten the rad in any way, it pressure fit into the front drive bay. I placed it a few inches below the top 230mm fan which removes the hot air quickly befor it pools in the case. My start-up temps are 17c and idle at 20c. Prime95 torture test maxed my temps at 34c after an hour (1055T @ 3.3). I have the resistors inline because i could not reach my cpu fan header without them. Once i get a longer cable ill crank up the fans to 2000rpm which sould drop my temps even more. Hope these pics come up for you!
nikonnut
I've never posted build pics before but I'm kinda proud of this one. It has lots of Corsair bits inside and the cable management turned out really well. So without further adieu ; http://i129.photobucket.com/albums/p215/chrisj4040/DSCN0599.jpg http://i129.photobucket.com/albums/p215/chrisj4040/DSCN0598.jpg I'm not so thrilled with the tool-less design for securing the GPU but the removable motherboard tray is worth its weight in gold! It should be noted that the pump hold down ring can't be properly tightened with the inner fan installed. Not a big deal (just remove it) but if you're in the process just hang back on that fan until last. http://i129.photobucket.com/albums/p215/chrisj4040/DSCN0609.jpg There was one little snag. The radiator of the H70 hits one of the case supports so a little dremel action was necessary. I've posted about this in the cooling section of the forums. http://i129.photobucket.com/albums/p215/chrisj4040/DSCN0605.jpg Finally! All wired up and ready to go! Looks rather spiffy if I do say so myself :) There is one mod you can't see. Thanks to the fans that come with the H70 the rear exhaust fan was unnecessary. I pulled the top off the case and re-installed it as a roof vent fan. http://i129.photobucket.com/albums/p215/chrisj4040/DSCN0607.jpg Last shot. Hopefully that big honkin' fan will keep the GTX 480 cool and happy :) Thanks for looking and any and all comments are welcome. Cheers, Chris

cravinmild
That is a very nice rig you have there, i love the black interiors. Great build! I just spied that killer 2100 lol. How do you like it? I run mostly wireless for reg use but when im online gaming i always use the killer 2100, its hard to judge but i pretty sure it has improvements over onboard albeit slighty...........I still think the card is nice looking inside any case. Kortwa
I notice a slight increase in speed and drop in latency when using it over my rampage 3 onboard controller. It also adds some more nice red light onto my psu :D

Lisa is stuck
Six weeks ago a computer, to me, was just something to vacuum around or to trip over. But with my fella in hospital and him being into pc's and needing a new one I decided to do a ton of research into this magical world (:p:) and take the step to build one myself for when he gets home. It isn't quite finished yet as I'm waiting on a few bits but you will get the general idea. Remember, i knew nothing 6 weeks ago so just researched and read literally hundreds of reviews. Based on that check out the Corsair love. http://img17.imageshack.us/img17/7996/buildboxes.jpg http://img864.imageshack.us/img864/2435/dvdinstalleda.jpg http://img204.imageshack.us/img204/5258/frontfan.jpg http://img199.imageshack.us/img199/1176/h70open.jpg http://img52.imageshack.us/img52/4631/h70reinstall.jpg And I get a cpu temp, in bios, of 49c with fans at 2000rpm.:(: http://img97.imageshack.us/img97/2405/biospic.jpg So I decide to re-install the H70. Good thing too as you can see in the following two pictures the pressure wasn't equalized across the whole surface. http://img195.imageshack.us/img195/9198/unmounth701.jpg http://img202.imageshack.us/img202/8752/unmounth702.jpg But now look!:D: http://img828.imageshack.us/img828/1771/unmounth703.jpg http://img10.imageshack.us/img10/2104/unmounth704.jpg http://img146.imageshack.us/img146/2733/newcputemp.jpg And this is with the fans now at 1600rpm. Thanks Corsair! Superb products.xx:D:
Ezone2
Silverstone RV01 Raven - Corsair H70 Installed as top exhaust http://img815.imageshack.us/img815/6021/pict0734001.th.jpg Replaced the Stock Fans with Sanyo Denki San Ace 109R1212H1011 2600 RPM fans and added some custom LED shrouds. http://img24.imageshack.us/img24/1084/pict0749001.th.jpg Then Used a Fan controller for both fans run Pump to Motherboard. http://img846.imageshack.us/img846/953/pict0748001.th.jpg I'm getting as good of cooling running these fans on auto (most of the time 50%) than I was getting On the stock fans running them at 100%. I can still switch fan controller to manaual and run them as fast as needed (40% - 100%). I have figured out that the loudness we hear comming from the fans are only because they are run through the Rad. Fans by themselves are super quiet. Side panal off also. http://img38.imageshack.us/img38/6708/pict0718001.th.jpg Side Panel on. http://img148.imageshack.us/img148/5972/pict0743001.th.jpg The H70 with the 2 120X38mm fans and 2 120X25mm shrouds with the Radiator will take up about 7 Inches of space all mounted inside the case. Will all but cover up the Cooling block on my setup. http://img705.imageshack.us/img705/852/pict0732i.th.jpg http://img815.imageshack.us/img815/6021/pict0734001.th.jpg Case View http://img268.imageshack.us/img268/5663/pict0720001.th.jpg Full View of Case and Custom desk that I made. http://img97.imageshack.us/img97/6354/pict0735001.th.jpg With this H70 I am getting 30C at Idle fans at 50% (22c ambiant temp.) and was getting 47c load when running prime95 for 1 hour fans at 100%. Normal computer usage such at zooming around the internet and doing various tasks and normal level usage software, watching videos ect. the temp never have risen above 36c. I really like the H70 with the fans replaced and not sure if i would need any better cooling. I'm running the cpu at 3.6GHz and have had it many of times over 4.1 GHZ (just no need to push it that fast) and no probelms with overheating. Thats all I have right now Ezone2

Sullen
Here's my rig! Just finished it a few hours ago, still need some misc. stuff that are coming in the mail but the important stuff is in and ready to go. Haven't put an OS yet so don't know if everything's working properly :sigh!: Also showing off some other Corsair stuff too!!!! PC Name: Cobalt Flame Case: In Win Dragon Rider Motherboard: EVGA Classified 3-Way SLI CPU: Intel i7 960 CPU Cooler: Corsair H70 RAM: Corsair Dominator GT 6GB 2000C8 GPU: EVGA GeForce GTX 560 Ti (Soon to SLI a second 560 Ti) System Drive: Corsair SSD Force 120GB PSU: CoolerMaster Silent Pro M 850W http://i165.photobucket.com/albums/u68/SeniumBand/DSC00151.jpg http://i165.photobucket.com/albums/u68/SeniumBand/DSC00152.jpg Fitting the H70 was a real pain. I checked in the two top spaces and with the two fans inside the case on the back but on top the RAM or the CPU power cables were in the way and in the back the MoBo Heatsink was the problem. I had to put one fan outside the case and had to modify the end closer to the Heatsink of the fan inside the case to make it fit properly, but I DID IT!!! I just need longer screws and some spacers to make it all right. (In the photo below you can see the fan pushing the heatsink downward prior the modification.) http://i165.photobucket.com/albums/u68/SeniumBand/DSC00153.jpg Yeah! Ezone2
Sullen you may just need to initailize it. Have you tried to go to Control Panel/System and Security/Administrative tools/Computer Management/Storatge/Disk Management. That should detect all drives on you computer and you should be able to trouble shoot them from there. Ezone

I think SLi, Three Way, and Four Way are supported for the cards. Thats alot of graphics and alot of money. EzoneMy concern is because these VGA's are 3GB dual GPU each, so having three will sum up to 9GB's and I don't know how the MoBo will handle that. I'm not aware of the limitations for SLI and Crossfire configurations aside from the common power handling and PCIe slots issues. I know this is pretty ridicule and unnecessary but I want to die and have this PC buried with me so I can still use it in the afterlife  But coming back on-topic I'm pretty happy with my first build, it came out pretty darn good and for the sake of the thread the H70 RULES!!! I don't think you will have a Graphics Memory Issue with the graphics cards, these cards have their own on board processors that can work with a different type of memory onboard, for example your system memory may be DDR3 but your graphics memory could be DDR5,I think the two in a way operate seperatly from each other, I don't think this will be an issue with the sytem or motherboard. I would assume you will be running an 64Bit Operating system and should not be any issues that way either. So I would think you should be able to put all three cards in and the cards will make use of the onboard video memory as needed. But thats just me thinking though, someone else may want chime in. I would go for it myself. Ezone
