nyhobo75
Building my first HTPC (1st system build since, like 1996, so I'm a recovering NOOB:biggrin:) and running into an issue. All the hardware seems to play nice together and with Win7 EXCEPT for when I go into S3. The system sleeps fine, but upon resume I get a boot loop (lights on, fan starts for 3 seconds, powers down, repeat infinity). The funny part is that the S3 resume works PERFECTLY when 3 or less sticks installed (doesn't seem to matter which stick, once I populate slot#4 I get this problem). I've tried a bunch of things already. Gigabyte support eventually recommended RMA of the board (I'm skeptical). Also tried Corsair TSX and called as well. A nice fellow told me to try setting up the BIOS with Profile 1 and then downclocking the memory to 1333. Profile 1 ups my BCLK to 166 so I reduced back to 133 and manually entered all the memory timings overriding the Auto settings in the BIOS. Also bumped up Vtt slightly. That seemed to be unsuccessful (backup BIOS took over, so I'm not sure if I did it correctly?) Any and all help is appreciated!

nyhobo75
Wow, not even a peep from the Ram Guy? Why do I get the feeling that this is a known issue that Corsair needs to "keep quiet" and are thus not allowed to comment publicly on. Incidentally, in the meantime I've tried a number of things including memtest of all chips individually and as a pair and as a set of 4. All passed with flying colors minimum 8 passes.
