avh48
Hi I just built my new rig. I´m using an Asus Rampage III Extreme with a Core i7 960 and 3 modules of Corsair Dominator (3x TR3X6G1600C7D), 6GB. I set the memory to 1600MHz with latencies of 7-7-7-20 at 1.65v. Everything is running fine and stable but the FSB:DRAM ratio is 2:12 so there´s a bottleneck right? Do I have to overclock my cpu? Any suggestion? I would like to improve the FSB:DRAM ratio. Thanks =)
ozzyau
I'm no expert but that looks pretty normal. provided you are after stock performance, I see no bottleneck, other than slight overkill for the memory. The multiplier thing can be seen as 1:6 (since both divisible by 2), so that gives 1 x 133 = your base clock (133) and 6 x 133 = your memory speed (800). avh48
Ohh that´s interesting! Thanks ozzyau! So getting closer to a 1:1 ratio is not going to make a big difference?
