rdesai
Received back my ASUS P5Q SE/R motherboard from RMA..(I thought my problem was a bad MB) Reinstalled Intel E7300, XFX GeForce 8600 Video card, Corsair Twin2X2048-8500C5D Memory and 600 SXS PS. (Rig had worked with these components for nearly 2 years) Motherboard power light green. All fans running. No beeps. No video. Reset CMOS to factory defaults. Same thing. Removed memory...got correct "no memory" beeps. Checked Video card and PS in other box. Both functioned fine so they are not the source of failure. Replaced RAM one stick at a time in each slot. Still no video or beeps. I cannot believe that both sticks of RAM have suddenly gone bad. Thoughts?
Wired
Possibly the CPU. Test the memory in a different system to be safe.
rdesai
My understanding is that if the memory is removed from the MB, powered up and you receieve a "no memory found" beep pattern on POST, the CPU is good. Yes?
