rkeele
I am wanting to upgrade my power supply. current supply is hp 460 watt. would like to know which power supply i should get . I am looking at the HX650 supply, but need to know for sure that it is the correct supply for my system. When i quizzed HP tech support, they stated that i should not go above 500-550w. I have a nvidia gtx 460 video card and need 2 -6 pin connectors to power the graphic card. are the corsair power supplies plug and play for my system? (motherboard). Thanks in advance
Wired
Make sure your HP system is compatible with ATX v2.01+ and higher.
rkeele
I would assume that the system is system compatable with atx ver 2.01 and higher as this model was just released in april 2010.
Wired
OEMs to this day still make proprietary hardware, so there's no telling.

djmorgan
HP normally use a PSU from HiPro, you can find their web site here http://www.hipro.com.tw/product.php?level1_id=1 Remove the case side and look for the data plate on the PSU. Synbios
650 watt is fine and doesn't seem like much overkill for your system. Your psu will only draw as much power as it needs from the wall so you don't have to worry about taking more than you need. It's better to have a little overhead but at the same time I hate it when people get overzealous and buy gigantic unnecessary psus like 1000 or 1200 watt psu's and they only have one video card and one hard drive.
