Jellars
Been experiencing a crackling noise from any thing I plug into any of the audio jacks on my PC (Front/Back and sound card). Narrowed down so that its basically has to be a grounding problem with the Power Supply but I'm not 100% sure. Is there any surefire way I can tell that the Power Supply is the problem (Without switching in a different one)? I have a multi meter handy. T_MacP
Hi, May I ask why you believe your noise problems are a result of a grounding problem within the PSU? I am curious as to how you narrowed your problem down to this. Thanks
Jellars
Got a set of speakers and headphones that crackle in sync with music from my pc. But don't crackle when plugged into anything else. First I thought it was the motherboards built in soundcard so I got a sound card off a friend and tried that, problem still remains, so I can't really think of anything else it could be at this point. EDIT- Okay this is getting weird. I've figured out how to fix it sort of. By turning off SLI the problem goes away immediately, but if at anytime I wanna hear static again all I have to do is turn SLI back on.. Anyone got any ideas here? Wired
Happen to have an internal audio cable going from one of your video cards to your onboard sound card connection on the motherboard?
Jellars
Nope, the only things the cards are connect to is each other through the SLI bridge, the motherboard via 2 PCI E slots, and to my monitors via DVI.
