lord7289
Cant find it on the compatibility chart but the builder has the same board and RAM without issues. 1st set of RAM died on 1st boot. 2nd set of RAM causes BSOD once a day or so. Errors in Memtest86+. Do I really need a 3rd set of this RAM? I looked at my BIOS but the RAM settings are beyond me!
lord7289
Sorry if I posted in the wrong place! I've looked at CPU-Z and its running 9-9-9-24 CR: 1T Voltage: 1.
Wired
Are you using Memtest86+ v4.10?

Wired
Are you testing one stick at a time in the same slot or both at the same time? If you're only doing the latter, test like the former.
lord7289
Testing 1 stick at a time right now. Stick 1 fine in DIMM1 and now testing in DIMM2. No errors reported but in DIMM2 its showing as DDR400 rather than DDR1333...any ideas why? I only have 2 DIMM slots on the board.
lord7289
I tested both sticks on their own then both together. Did 3 passes on each and not 1 error reported. I have since found out that I have a 125w CPU and my board only lists 95w CPUs on the compatibility list...do you think this may have caused the errors and BSOD? trackrat
Do you have the latest BIOS and does it support the CPU you are using?
lord7289
The 95w version of my processor is listed as compatible but not the 125w version.
trackrat
Then you could very likely have a VRM issue on the mobo if it's not rated for 125W CPUs.
lord7289
Changed board to Crossfire 3 and swapped the RAM. Issue resolved.
