lysaer
I have a problem with a corsair kit i recenltly purchased i've used corsair dominator for a long time and never had an issue with it even at high overclocks, must have around 150gb of corsair ram around my house. but with this kit CMP12GX3M3A1600C9 I can't seem to get it to run at 1600mhz, if it goes over 1590mhz it only shows up as 8gb or 4gb in the bios and in windows instead of the 12gb that it is. I have set of CMP6GX3M3A1600C8 and that runs fine at 1600mhz or higher. I've tried running the 12gb kit at completely stock settings and custom overclocks. I purchased the kit from http://www.scan.co.uk, i was a little ominous about accepting it as it didn't come in a retail box and when i asked for a guarantee that it worked 100% they said they opened it to test it to make sure it worked. lysaer
update on this, only one of the sticks will not go past 1590mhz the other 2 do indeed go past the barrier. so am guessing a faulty stick
