newboverclocker
I can't get my Ram to run at the 2000Mhz speed, I have tried the XMP in bios and the D.O.C.P as well. The XMP won't boot and the D.O.C.P won't either when I set the Ram to 2000Mhz. I tried to mess with the manual settings but I don't want to go to far and fry something, any help would be appreciated, thanks
trackrat
The i3-530 CPU officially supports RAM frequencies of 1066/1333 MHz. Your CPU/mobo may not run @ 2000 MHz. RAM speed even though the RAM has been tested and confirmed to run at this speed. XMP profiles are best guess and not guaranteed to work. All of the hardware components must be willing and able to achieve 2000 MHz. RAM frequency stable. newboverclocker
I upgraded my processor from a core i3 530 to core i7 870 and used xmp in bios, boots fine and shows correct frequency in cpu-z.
