CMX8GX3M2A1600C9 with AMD build

Iknow the memory is for Intel but I can se that the CMX8GX3M2A1333C9 is for both Intel and Amd boards according to Corsairs compability lists. The questions is of course if I can runt the above memory on an AMD (CMX8GX3M2A1600C9) board like GIGABYTE GA-890FXA-UD5 DDR3 AM3 ATX. Is it for the speed compability, i mean if i run these sticks, will it only run for 1333, then its ok for me bacause they cost the same. And yes I really want those 2 sticks only to get 8 gb and the memory seems ok and are low profil to usewith a high cpu cooler like Noctua, also the memory is much more affordable then others and I can not se why I should invest in more expensier memory. The processor will be AMD 965 BE (yes and with 700D case but thats is another story :-) ).

This memory issues is the last thing to know before I dare to order, hobe fore a positive answer, I have tried to read as much as I can about this.

Well, the price is the same and someone already said, overclocking is like lottery soo... I would be glad if the CMX8GX3M2A1600C9 is compatible with the AMD system and mayby I could reach 1600, otherwise it would be fine with 1333. I just seems like its just the speed which is different between CMX8GX3M2A1600C9 versus CMX8GX3M2A1333C9 and then I would better go for CMX8GX3M2A1600C9 even when its says here at the forum I would only gain about 1,2 procent or something like that.

If Corsair has tested it and approved it for the AMD Phenom II platform it should be fine. There is no guarantee that your PC will run stable with the RAM OC'ed to 1600 MHz. but it should be fine at the AM3 socket specs of 1333 MHz. and may even run at 1600 MHz. with manual BIOS settings.
