oneguy
Hello, I bought a F120 recently, did not do any firmware updates etc. Just put it in my laptop and used as is. It worked fine for a few months. I took it out of the laptop and put in in a usb case, then connected to a pc and booted from it (while connected via usb). Everything worked slow so I just turned the pc off. The next time I tried to use my F120 with SATA connection it was not detected by bios (tried on one computer). I tried it as a mass storage devise - was not detected by win7/xp. Is there anything I can try to do, or just send it back to corsair for replacement? Synbios
You should update the firmware to 2.0. Also, I would not recommend booting an OS from an external enclosure, it will not be as fast as if you connected it internally to a SATA port. Yellowbeard
Have you tried it back in the laptop in which it started? If it is not detected there, use the link on the left for an RMA.
oneguy
Currently my laptop where I originally use the F120 is being repaired (completely unrelated issue, as I mentioned, the SDD stopped working only afterwards)... Any ideas how to update the firmware if my OS / BIOS does not even see the SSD?
